About Us

After leaving her construction and commercial litigation practice in Kansas City and moving to Arkansas City in 2005, Ms. Niles established her office at the historic Cornish Studios building (former location of the prior City Attorney, Otis Morrow).

Following his business model of the previous thirty years, she simultaneously held the position of City Attorney and represented some of his former clients (he left his private practice to head a bank’s Trust Department).  Mr. Morrow had practiced in the areas of debt recovery/collections, estate planning, corporations, and general business law (among others).  Ms. Niles did the same.

The economy started to decline shortly after she opened her law office, and her debt recovery/collections practice grew substantially in a few short years. Ms. Niles grew her client base to over 80 creditors, which required the addition of staff, hardware and web-based software to provide a technologically-advanced collections practice.

Simultaneously, several other areas of her practice expanded, most significantly in the areas of estate planning and probate, and business law, such as establishing corporate structures and purchasing existing businesses.

Within the historic downtown district of Arkansas City, Niles Law Office was originally built by Kodak Eastman in approximately 1915.  The building features traditional Spanish building elements: stucco, Spanish style, wrought iron, Batchelder tile, and copper accents.
